About Venlafaxine
Venlafaxine is an SNRI used for depression and anxiety. It can raise blood pressure at higher doses. It has one of the most difficult discontinuation syndromes of all antidepressants — never stop suddenly.

Avoid alcohol with venlafaxine — both affect serotonin and noradrenaline systems, and combined sedation and blood pressure effects are unpredictable.
